Almost fell into the water trying to get this shot but it was worth it.
Taken on my Nikon Coolpix Digital - no flash- macro.
Just had to share with you this absolutely gorgeous Lotus about to burst into full bloom. I was just too late to catch the last blossom and the new buds aren't out yet. I feel like a voyeur about to pounce I have visited the dam so often to check progress so I don't miss the next buds opening. Check back to see if I have timed it right !
There is also a fabulous lily photo and a huge veined leaf of the Lotus that I nearly fell into the water to get but so worth it !

- Tips: Take a piece of plastic, or something to lie on to get different angle shots
- If its windy take something to shield the flower and stop it waving around while you shoot - or take a friend to shield the wind
